Over the last two decades we have witnessed an intensification of action taken both internally and within global and regional international organisations, integration groups and NGOs. This fact is reflected in the growing list of agreements signed in this matter, declarations accepted and the constantly growing number of states which are party to international conventions on migrant workers’ rights. There are already currently almost 90 states which are party to at least one convention in this field as part of global organisations. The number of conferences, symposia and publications dealing with this topic of migrant workers` rights protection is increasing.The aim of this work is to present the question of protection of migrant workers as an increasingly significant sphere of human rights protection. Its task is to provide expert knowledge on the legal protection of migrant workers against the background of universal and regional regulations and also, within a selected field, the internal policies of certain states. It also introduces knowledge about practical action taken in the interests of migrants in the aforementioned context.
