He has a J.D. from the University of Messina Law School and pursued graduate studies at the University of Chicago, where he was a student of Milton Friedman. In January 2005 Antonio Martino was awarded the Department of Defense Medal for Distinguished Public Service by the United States Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld.
