The woman silently curtsied at every sentence, and confessed her offence, but pleaded her large family. 5. The good man, after some kindly words, was leaving the field, when the woman, who had dropped her burden on hislordship's first speaking to her, called to him, "0, my lord, do ye give us a hand, and help the poke on my back, for it's heavy, and I cannot get it up by mysel'!" 6. The Earl actually turned back, and did assist the woman to load herself with the stolen turnips! 60. THE HOUSE AND THE INFANT. 18 lines. 1. Horses escape into a lane. 1.
