Description:A Study in the Gospel of John. The Apostle John referred to himself as "The Disciple Whom Jesus Loved.".That is because he was the best friend of the Lord. John knew so much about the love of God, and the power of that love. He wants us to experience it as well. But we really have to do life God's way if we want to be successful. To experience the love of god through Jesus Christ is an amazing experience for all of us. God loved you enough to give his son to die in your place. Jesus took your sin and give you his righteousness. The Apostle John wrote his gospel much later than the other three, because he had something to say about the love of God that had not been said yet. This is a thought by thought Bible study of the Gospel of John showing the works and words of Jesus that are not found in any other Gospel. It is the most profound--the deepest Gospel. 92% of the book is unique to the Gospel of John. A worthwhile study. John R. Hargrove,Th.D., designed this book for the average Christian who wants extra Bible study. John has been a Bible teacher for over fifty years. Text from the King James Version of the Bible are included. John’s design is to set forth the Messiahship and Godhood of Jesus Christ by the irrefutable proof of His miraculous signs to kindle faith in the hearts of men that they may receive eternal life. John wished to convince the Jew that the historical Jesus is the “Christ,” the Jewish Messiah, and that the Gentile might accept this same Jesus as “the Son of God,” the Savior of mankind. JESUS came to offer salvation to the world, but especially to those whom the religious leaders said were blind. Those who thought they saw (the Jewish religious leaders) were left in the dark. They had no spiritual insight. Jesus was unsparing in His denunciation of hypocrisy. He did not want empty professors to think they were acceptable to Him. Only ones who were willing to own their spiritual blindness could come to Him! JESUS OUR DOOR TO GOD. The shepherd sleeping by the door was a source of protection for the sheep. To get to the sheep (in order to steal them), robbers had to first get past the door. The thief comes to carry away and destroy the sheep. “I have come that they may have life…” My poor dad had the idea that the Christian life was the right life, but it was hard, difficult, and boring. He believed Christians had no fun, so he preferred to live a life of sin (although he was a hard-working man), because he preferred having fun in this world over living for Christ and having eternal life in the next world. What lies perpetrated by the Devil! Jesus came to give His sheep a happy, satisfying life in this world as well as eternal life in the next. Many Christians do not experience “abundant life” because they are not willing to completely reject the pleasures of this world. Some mix law and grace, and that is no fun. Walking daily in the grace of God brings joy and peace. Some of us think we can have this world and heaven too, but this causes double-mindedness and an accusing conscience. Another reason to abandon ourselves into the arms of God. (10:11-12) “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd gives his life for the sheep. But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, sees the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep, and flees: and the wolf catches them, and scatters the sheep.” *JESUS IS OUR GOOD SHEPHERD. Apparently, when a shepherd had many sheep, he would hire someone to help him watch them. This person was simply a hired man. He had no feeling for the sheep. We have made it easy for you to find a PDF Ebooks without any digging.
