In the form of individual case studies and subject-based overviews they discuss the significance that the findings from the Dead Sea hold for the understanding of Jesus of Nazareth and the Pauline texts. Key issues include the question of Jesus' keeping of the Sabbath and his eschatology. The insights into Jesus' native language obtainable from the Aramaic prayer texts of Qumran are presented in a new Aramaic reconstruction of the Lord's Prayer.
