"About the seventh day the action of the skin continued during the night and day, with a slight interval only towards three o'clock in the afternoon, at which time the patient was washed with water at 59 of Fah., and the wet sheets and affusion were remitted. From this period convalescence became very perceptible, although its progress was but slow.
