In seeking to answer these questions, the leading astrophysicists and cosmologists of our day will not be consulted in this study. While "thinking God's thoughts after him" is a legitimate and worthy pursuit, we will be dealing with the eyewitness testimony of the one who was actually there. He is the one who is able to say "Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth?" (Job 38:4). This is the architect, engineer and craftsman who originally designed the cosmos. He is the one who "created" it for a purpose and then "formed" and "filled" it accordingly. Our goal, therefore, is to get some "understanding" and basic Biblical bearings about the cosmological nature of this "present evil world" that we have been born into. Using the scriptures as the cosmic map that they are, we will spacetime travel through the universe and see it as God himself does. With Bible in hand, this testimony will be our tour guide as we hit the galactic highway and journey THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS.
