My second book "School Is Cool" was also inspired by real life events. The transition from home to school can be a very frightening experience for young children. I have written this book with the hope that when it is read to preschool children it will help ease the fears they may have about starting school.When my son was attending kindergarten in the Marion elementary school, I was a volunteer in his classroom. I worked with his teacher Shannon Mitchell. This book was dedicated to her because she is an amazing teacher. When school first started there was a young man in her class who was terrified of being in school. He would get physically ill and many times his mother would have to come to school and take him home. Someone would have to stay with him constantly and offer encouragement and reassurance. Eventually this young man adjusted to being in school but it took several weeks for this to happen. This is the reason I wrote "School Is Cool." If parents prepare their children by reading this book to their preschool children perhaps the transition from home to school will be much easier for their children. It is a simple rhyming book with very nice illustrations that children enjoy.We have made it easy for you to find a PDF Ebooks without any digging.
