Ruth Anna Lindley was not by birth a member of the religious Society of Friends, and like Paul, who declared, in regard to his ministry: "I neither received it of men, neither was I taught it but by the revelation of Jesus Christ," it appears that the principles and testimonies of Truth, which she was constrained to adopt, were not received by her through education, but from the operations of the Holy Spirit upon her mind. Truth does not change.
