As a matter of fact, however, the author has wisely decided to give a short summary of chemical facts or processes before proceeding to explain the methods of calculation which are applied to them. Laboratory students will find a most useful and convenient explanation of the methods of calculating the results of specific gravity determinations, of analyses whether gravimetric, volumetric or gasometric, and of atomic and molecular weight determinations; they will find these also brought up to date as regards the methods to which they refer.
