Description:English summary: In the course of the centuries Martin Luther's translation has been revised regularly to adapt it to the state of theological research and the German language change. In view of the forthcoming anniversary of the Reformation in 2017 the Council of the Evangelical Church in Germany has commissioned a new thorough review of the Luther Bible. Initial results of this review have been presented at the Rostock conference. Moreover, it was the intention to put the Luther Bible in the context of other current German bible translations. Further key topics: linguistic peculiarities of the Luther Bible, the early history of its revisions, and its still prominent status in church and society. German description: Uber die Jahrhunderte hinweg wurde Martin Luthers Ubersetzung immer wieder uberarbeitet, um sie an den aktuellen Stand der theologischen Forschung und den Sprachwandel im Deutschen anzupassen. Im Horizont des Reformationsjubilaums 2017 hat der Rat der Evangelischen Kirche in Deutschland erneut eine grundliche Durchsicht der Luther-Bibel in Auftrag gegeben. Im Rahmen der Rostocker Konferenz wurden erste Ergebnisse dieser Durchsicht vorgestellt. Daruber hinaus sollte die Lutherbibel in den Kontext anderer aktueller Bibelubersetzungen im deutschen Sprachraum eingeordnet werden.
