Description:Excerpt from The Journal of Sociologic Medicine, Vol. 18: Continuing the Bulletin of the American Academy of Medicine; February, 1917 Cases requiring bed care are fewer than would be expected in our community. While bed cases are encouraged to come to the infirmary, calls at the student rooms are made and small fees to the service fund are collected. During the present year bed cases at the infirmary and isolation hospital receive three days of free care after which they pay as previously 5 daily for all ordinary care. Students under care of local physicians have the same use of all health service facilities as those under the care of the college physician. Cases among the 200 girls have reserved rooms in their dormitory and a nurse who is also on the health service stafi.
