Description:As of now, research on the literature of classical modernism has a new platform - the MUSIL-FORUM. From 2003 onwards, the previous MUSIL-FORUM, the publication of the International Robert Musil Society since its foundation, will be continued in a new form. The volumes, which will appear at regular intervals, will focus on the life and work of Robert Musil (1880 - 1942), on 20th century Austrian literature, and on the literature of classical modernism (approx. 1895 - 1933). As the term 'classical modernism' does not represent a uniform concept with a concise reference in literary history, the MUSIL-FORUM invites contributions on the opportunities and limits of the term 'classical modernism', which should reflect equally on the continuity and discontinuity of literary and cultural strategies. The MUSIL-FORUM will provide information on current research debates and issues.
