Description:Excerpt from The Transactions of the East Riding Antiquarian Society, Vol. 12: For the Year Ending October, 1904 At this meeting were exhibited a stone celt and net weight recently found at Haisthorpe, a long bone pin found at Burton Agnes, and an early 16th century stole of Spanish workmanship. This last Object is of faded purple Silk brocade with a coat of arms (aragon impaling Castile P) in applique work upon it. This object is of no local interest. The First Summer Excursion of the Society was held at Burton Agnes on Wednesday, 15th June, 1904. By the kindness of Mr. And Mrs. Wickham-boynton the members assembled at the Hall, where they were welcomed by the host and hostess. Standing on the steps at the front of the Hall Mr. J.
