Description:Excerpt from Hampshire Parish Registers, Vol. 15: Marriages The present is a continuation of the tenth volume of the Hampshire Series. Vol. x, issued in 1907, contained the Marriages of the important parish of St. Thomas a Becket, Portsmouth, from 1653 to 1700 inclusive. This, Vol. XV, continues them from 1701 to 1775. At least another volume will be required to bring these Marriages down to the year 1837, when Civil Registration began. Of the abstracts here given, those from 1701 to 1758 were made by Mr. A. T. Everitt and Miss G. Barell, who did the former volume. The proofs of these have been checked with the original Registers and the abstracts continued to 1775 by Mr. S. Andrews.
