Description:Excerpt from Catalogue of the Law Library of the Bar Association of San Francisco The admission fee shall be fifty dollars, to be paid on or before signing the Constitution. There shall be a monthly fee of five dollars, payable in advance, on the first day of each month, and an annual fee of five dollars for library expenses, payable on the first day of January of each year. Non-resident members who do not have their offices in San Francisco, and all life members, shall be exempt from monthly fees; and members who are absent from the State for a longer period than three consecutive months shall not be liable for monthly fees during the time they are absent. Any member who shall, after this amendment shall take effect, be in default for four months for his monthly fees, and any member who shall fail for the period of sixty days, after notice from the Recording Secretary, to pay the annual fee above mentioned, shall ipso faeto cease to be a member of the Association, and can only be restored to membership by the Trustees on his making good all of his delinquency. The fact of his default and of his ceasing to be a member by reason thereof shall be entered, by the Recording Secretary, on the membership book of the Association opposite the name of such default ing member; and, if such member be restored to membership, that fact shall likewise be entered by the said Secretary in the same place. Nothing herein contained shall be so construed as to effect any right which may have been acquired by any life member of the Association.
