Buckham, J. H. Snowden, and many others. The writer was called for a'brief season to deal with the questions involved, with a class Of elec tives in Rochester Theological Seminary, at the earnest solicitation of president-emeritus Augustus H. Strong, D.D., LL.D. The line Of work proved so intellectually stimulating, and so assuring to theistic faith, that the subject has been pursued ever since, and especially while resident in Ger many, and in further preparation to deal in later travels in Asia with typical forms Of the Oriental mind.
