The Guardian Projects- Book Four

James Herbert Edwards
4.9/5 (11921 ratings)
Description:Well, the big event, the Drexa, is over and I surprised them all and lived, thank God! Unfortunately things aren’t looking good for my Mom, who will most likely die if I don’t do something. Meanwhile between Lezorkes, sneaky Russians and a traveling space cruise ship that turned out to be more than a party, I didn’t get much time to relax. Not to mention kehl’Dorroc, the universe’s version of Revelations, becomes a party topic for the first time with an Earthly General in attendance and as you will see, it’s not something you toss around at a get-together. After making sure Mom is safe I find myself not just Lezorke hunting but hunting a Lezorke that is hunting me, and yes, we get to meet along with a very famous religious figure who amazingly fills in part of the mystery of where my missing Aunt might be located near the city that floats in the clouds. But this Lezorke is no ordinary dragon, oh no, this one is not only sneaky and conniving but also built like a brick shithouse. A dark smoldering sexuality exuded from her, stronger than any Earthly pheromone when we finally met. Did I say she was a deadly shape-changing beast? Did we really jump backwards in time only to find the mother of all dragons, Ama the Lezorke trying to take control of my mind? That I was able to put her down came as a surprise to all of us but then it took a heavenly power to do it. Rescuing my Aunt wasn’t ordinary either for when she refuses to read your future you really haven’t got one, at least not for long. An interesting event confirmed her refusal of fortune forcing me to step in and rescue her. Finally back home I find out the hard way that it’s not my home anymore when the real owner comes home. He beats his wife and me to death with a baseball bat as we sleep though neither of us knew the other was there. Even more ironic is that someone I had been planning to kill then rescues me from the morgue. Finally, while alive but not yet recovered an enemy comes calling, an enemy of incredible size and power. It is hunting me and knows where I am. It vaporizes my garage to prove it. That’s a good summary of some unbelievable situations that confront me. But you should read it and make up your own mind.
