Description:November 1860, while the tiny citadel of Gaeta is desperately struggling before surrending to the Piedmontese troops, the count Theodule de Christen conceives a desperate plan to relieve the siege. He leaves the fort, summons the disbanded Neapolitan soldiers and joins the band of the brigand Chiavone on the border with the State of the Church. From there they make a series of assaults.
