You might not always understand WHY, but with WHAT you have, you can determine how well you finish. Whenever a pawn reaches the opponent’s end of the board, it qualifies itself to be transformed into any other piece it so wishes to be. Irrespective of its original positioning on the board, a pawn’s final outcome is dependent on WHAT needed to be done, not WHY. Regardless of where the pawn starts, what really matters is where it ends up and how instrumental it proves to be in achieving the end result. As human beings, our choices far outweigh that of a pawn in a chess game, but similar to a pawn, we may not choose or thoroughly understand our origins or backgrounds, but we can determine how and where we end up.
