Description:The international congress on the 700 Years of Ottoman Architecture/ A Supra-National Heritage which was programmed by the Chamber of Architects, member of the Union of Chambers of Architects and Engineers of Turkey, was realised between 25-27th November 1999 with the contribution of the Istanbul Technical University, which also provided the venue for the congress. The Congress primarily aimed at discussing and questioning the theoretical and ideological/political context of this concept: and achieving, to the extent possible, the interpretation and the inventory of the accumulation of this supranational heritage. Secondarily research and acknowledgement of architectural heritage was aimed in regard to: city, settlement and living environment models; official and civic building and construction typologies; education and working conditions. And it was also aimed to discuss the architectural heritage still existing today in regard to: the ideological and methodological/operational problems of conservation; the impact of this existing heritage on architectural perception; the view of the Republic in regard to Ottoman architecture. This book consists of the papers presented to the international congress. We have made it easy for you to find a PDF Ebooks without any digging.
