The Kassandra Complex

Unknown Author
4.9/5 (26237 ratings)
Description:The Kassandra Complex is the story of Michel of Lyon, a third century Gaul who fought for Rome before becoming a Guardian. As he had promised his father, he'd kept a sketchy logbook of his adventures. Seventh Century, his log is found by John the Forlorn, a prospective Byzantine Monk. The Byzantine is so amazed by a Gaul travelling to the six corners of the earth that he vows to complete Michel's mission. Michel's adventures include his love of Priscilla, conflicts among Roman generals, the hiding of the Holy Grail & where it is now, and expeditions to five regions of earth that Roman feet had never tracked before. As John was follows Michel's path, momentous changes were occurring throughout the Near East, Byzantium, and Persia; it was a history-changing time. The Persian Emperor, Chosroes, invaded every Christian land destroying every Christian church in the Near East; the Byzantine Emperor Heraclius, won back the Christian lands; with earth's greatest empires destitute and war-weary, Muhammad's generals conquered Persia and Byzantium. The novel details two men's attempts to save, for future generation, the history and reminders of Christianity. Michel the Gaul is the first Guardian to realize the flaw made by Jude in locating six guardian cities so near each other - all of them lying along historic invasion paths. Jude never considered that the end-of-time might be delayed for centuries, so he'd thought the Guardians mission would be accomplished long before mighty Rome fell. Michel, discovering the weakness of Rome, scoured the known earth for six surrogate cities: ones that could protect their secret horde for a millennium. John, aware, centuries later, of the fall of West Rome, now feared the fall of East Rome. He had discovered Michel's centuries-old suppressed-plan. He thereupon hastened to find those cities again, but needed to convince the present Mebakker that their horde must be transferred to Michel's far-distant six surrogate cities, away from the six sacred cities within the Muslim path. Michel the Gallic Legionary, the Love of Priscilla, renounces allegiance to Rome when Marcus Aurelius persecutes the Christians of Lyon: the Warrior becomes a Guardian trying to save the Six Sacred Sites. Six legionaries join his effort as Rome begins to crumble. His girl deserts him for a real fighting man who abuses her. Michel has a three pronged-fight: ü Fight for Gaul against marauding legions; ü Journey to save the six sites; ü Fight to save Priscilla and her family Four centuries later, a successor, John of Byzantium, watches as the Persians take all of Byzantium from a weak emperor. Very little remains of the Greek Empire as Chroees burns every church in the Holy Land - except for that of the Nativity. With the Sacred Six in chaos, John travels from Georgia to Ireland to save what is in them and move them to Michel s farther-flung six. His story is varied: ü Saving his extended family as new Emperor Heraclius rebuilds its Navy; ü Find Michel s six sites and restore them; ü Warn all that with the defeat of Persia and the loss of Greek wealth, the Arabs to the south will find themselves strong enough to conquer both. As the new six are opened, Mohammad s three successors capture The Holy Lands, Africa and Spain. This historical novel is one of seven in an ArchaeoHistorical Diaheptaron tracing a two millennia design of a secret society called the Guardians. The sequence is told in seven voices: JUDE the Essene 40 AD; CONNOR Stratton 2115 AD; MICHEL the Gaul 180 & JOHN of Byzantium 600 AD; MARISHA of Antioch 750 AD; PADRAIG the Scribe 500 AD & JAIME-FELIPE the Translator 11227 AD; LEAH the 1332 AD & Abbe FRANCOIS 1440 AD.We have made it easy for you to find a PDF Ebooks without any digging.
