It had taken longer than Judith had expected to get what she wanted from her target this time. However, it had been time well spent. She knew she had been taking a risk with what she was doing. As, in reality, nothing was ever a hundred percent safe. Still, she knew she would end this part of her contract today. The contract had been to not only assassinate the target but also retrieve a particular book. Now that the target had been erased, and she had the book in her hand. Judith had toyed with the idea of looking through the book. However, that just wasn’t done. Nevertheless, it still belonged to her until she held the sixty-thousand-dollar payment for the assignment in her hands. Tempted, she opened it and started reading. Then realised that it was full of dates, with the details of monies that had changed hands, names and places. There were also sketches relating to what seemed to be a massive tech project. It was at that moment, Judith Morante realised what the project was, and started to sweat. She could see why the contractor wanted it so badly. She had put herself in real danger.
