While there is an age-old belief as expressed by Mario Puzo that “ behind every successful fortune, there is crime” (or a wrongful deed), 7B negates such a belief.7B has proved through a case-study that sheer hard work, self-discipline, and following a value-based life even in poverty, can lead to an eventual success. For me success should include peace of mind and freedom to be oneself, otherwise success is of no value. My lifestyle has led me to that of success. 7B is the experience of a typical Indian family from South India. This part of the world still believes in an integrated joint family showing respect to elders, operating under their guidance which sort of family-life may seem to be surprising to some. The tradition and heritage that India is proud of does not consider children like birds which fly away from parents, once they can be on their own but stay with them in repaying through gratitude and respect. But unfortunately, the influence of the modern civilization is creeping into such a respectful heritage which is getting polluted, to some extent.7B is an experience of that typical family over years from poverty to a comfortable life guided constantly by a set of values, discipline, and firm resolutions. In this journey of their life in these modern days when the culture and heritage that we are proud of, is polluted by the influence of man-created factors, the family to which I belong binds itself closely and effectively towards “satisfaction and contentment”. I, the author of 7B had the privilege of being in such a journey, with gratitude and values as my key guiding factors. The journey unfolds as in any family both downsides and upsides that include inter-personal conflicts, scheming, achievements, failure, joy, grief. In that sort of a journey, I have had my career growth as CFO, CEO of corporates that I was proud to have served, while at the same time balanced my corporate life with family that I am proud to have been part of. But to achieve one, the other needs to be compromised to some extent. I could achieve great success on the family front which became possible by a few compromises on the professional life. But with no regrets as I found what matters at the end is the family and its satisfaction which I personally from my perspective, consider as the measuring rod for success.Through 7B, I am not advocating any type of lifestyle or trying to preach the difference between good and bad which is of common knowledge today. But what is important is the path we choose, and I happen to choose the one that the world believes, and scriptures declare as good and ethical. But success can be achieved through various other routes as well, but what we choose makes a difference as at the end what is needed is success along with peace of mind and strong family healthy connections. What is the point in achieving billions of dollars and hiding in a third country to avoid Indian Law, or facing a family mistrust and dis-integration? Once again, I can only talk of my experiences and not try to pass on a judgement on any other or try to take the role of an advisor.I can conclude that I have been proud of the family - my parents whom I consider as my Gods who have created and given birth to me, my wife who had given unstinted support since she became part of our family and my children who consider me as their mentor, following my path.We have made it easy for you to find a PDF Ebooks without any digging.
