This title follows the "Saftey Design for Space Systems" that we are publishing with the IAASS due out in March 2009. Space Safety is designed as a complementary title and expected that customers of the first book will also buy this title. As with that title there is interest from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Japanese Space Exploration Agency (JAXA) plus the other space agencies around the world, providing a key market and can be expected to commit to buy several hundreds of the handbook, possibly on a pre-publication basis, to be explored as part of the project development phase. Under the auspices of a joint campaign with IAASS a comprehensive marketing plan to reach aerospace corporations, consulting firms, research institutes and universities around the world will be devised. OverviewThere is no other book that currently addresses the regulatory and normative challenges that the space industry is facing today. These challenges must be met if the Space Industry is to continue to grow and mature into a self-sustaining commercial basis - especially post-national space agency support. Certainly, current worldwide financial troubles portend a significant cut in space budgets.
