In 2017, Sharon published her first book, Mockingbird Moments: A Memoir, which deals with her journey through grief after losing her father in 1992. Sharon enjoys spending time with her family, attending Texas A&M and Stephen F. Austin sporting events, reading, and hanging out with friends. She is a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. Sharon has written a novel that she envisions becoming a series and plans to publish it later in 2019.
